Hello blogger.com!

Just feel wanna write something in my lifelog journal aka "The Living Earendur". Updates? Nothing much. My new year started with a New Job. New Workplace. New Friends. New Environment. Not much different except for the Salary, of course. Haha! Just kidding. Hey, lots of differences!

I'm still in the office while writing this post. Now waiting for my colleague to teach me a lil' bit on how to handle few stuffs here before he leaves the company for a new job. Hmm, a handover. He'd already worked here for 2 years ++. Should be ok lorr.

Almost 6.30pm now.

I spent almost 2 hours on the road everyday traveling from home to office, from office to home. But I really enjoy myself.. Wake up 6.30am in the morning and having nasi lemak at my favorite stall near Puchong before work. I love my day. No backache. Serious.

Ops, my friend is coming. Got to continue with my work.

I'll try to be loyal to my blog. Just give me some time to settle down. Bye.

Sorry guys, no updates for almost (read : almost) 1 month. This month is such a tiring month for me. At my work place, no time to play around with the net (except for emails and the FTP thingy). After working hours, got something else to attend (meetings and music practice). Plus, i do not have internet connection at home. I've terminated my streamyx and my telephone line ( i have so many reasons for that).

For past few weeks :

Customizing E107 CMS. I'm not a hardcore coder, so i can't estimate when can i complete the CMS requirement.

Tweaked my precious pet, E398. Woohoooo! It was succesfully converted to E1 ROKR with lots of Java Softwares, Games, iTunes, Video Camera and Voice Recorder. I'm in love with her once again! I can do the conversion for you too.. with a reasonable price! Let me know.

Music practices and recordings.

Yes, thats my tummy.

My previous workspace. Shall i name it, a garage? My dayjob is killing me now.

Finally, i've completed my designs for my company's product banners and brochures. Just submitted my final touch to my boss for double check before sending for printing. Peww! At last. Now, i'm a lil bit free. Oh, later i need to update the website content. Later. Not now. :)

Last sunday, my church organized a live performance event. SALT (Shah Alam Life Tribute) was GREAT. Though it's been a tiring week for me, Mr Ravi, Ps.Steffen and Kumar coz we need to prepare few montages and ads for SALT and for the bands. Playing around with Adobe After Effects makes me feel like to vommit twice a day.. especially during videos rendering. Gosh.. took forever for them to complete!

However, it's not about the music and skills.. most importantly, it's all about HIM. The ONE.

Ummm, I bought 40 packets of Gardenia (twiggies, breads and muffins..) for my small lil' cousins.. since we can't find any Gardenia in Kuching... :X. True.

Since I joined friendster in the end of 2003, there were lots of changes to their web interface, features and the system which are for me, much much better than before. From JSP to PHP, now every updates by our friends in the network will be displayed on our Homepage. That's great! At least now we can view friends' profile each and every time they add new photos and their profiles info.

That one is OK.

Actually, by giving too much additional features to the members sometime can spoil them. You know why? See these examples :

I almost kissed my monitor, reading a single word of the content. What i can see only those blinking background images and colourful fluorencent fonts. This morning (for the first time), i clicked on friendster's 'About Us' to read their main objective of developing this type of network community :

KUALA LUMPUR: The permit of The Sarawak Press Sdn Bhd, publisher of Sarawak Tribune, has been suspended immediately until further notice over its publication of caricatures of Prophet Muhammad last Saturday.

A very big mistake by the publication..

The decision was made following the action of its newspaper, Sarawak Tribune, dated Feb 4, 2006, to publish an article titled Cartoon not much impact here which also accompanied a caricature of Prophet Muhammad,” the statement said.

As a result of publishing the article, The Sarawak Press Sdn Bhd has committed an offence and breached paragraph 6 of the conditions for the permit issued to it under Sub-section 6 (1) of the said Act.

Gosh, I spent 2 hours in front of the TV just now, watching the 20th Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL 20)live on TV3. Guess what? Actually I was waiting for Jaclyn Victor to perform! Yea, I really admirer her SUPERB voice.

I dun really care 'bout the 'Best Perfomance' by Mawi but I almost chocked when they announced the 'Best Vocal' goes to Hazami. I thought it was Jac! Not bad, Hazami. Congrats. Huhuhu.. as long as what I have predicted is true. Jac's 'Gemilang' song which was penned by Aubrey Suwito with lyrics by Asmin Mudin won the AJL 2005. Thumbs Up Aubrey! Thumbs up Asmin! Thumbs up Jac! I'm proud to have a Malaysian versatile singer like you. Keep it up.

Oh.. also the best part was, when Asmin Mudin said his last words: "Majulah! Majulah TV3 untuk negara!" (spontaneously). I didn't know what was the purpose of saying that during AJL. Hahaha! Funny.

Huhu.. Slow updates these few days. I was busy with my day job which I need to settle before 2006. Quite a lot and plus 2 more freelance projects to meet the due date. I need a holiday. I will be going back to my hometown, Kuching on the 23rd of December. Yes, coz I’m tired.

Imagine when you apply for leave from the boss, he answers you like this.

"You want to apply for one day leave? Anything else you want from the company?"

In a year, you work 365 days.1 year got 52 weeks, every week you rest for 2 days, then left 261 days working.

Everyday you have 16 hours of not working, so minus 170 days, left 91 days of work.

Everyday you spend 30 minutes drinking coffee; sum up is about 23 days, so you left 68 days working.

Everyday you spend 1 hour for lunch, then minus 46 days again, left 22 days.

Usually you apply 2 days sick leave every year, so you still left 20 days working.

Every year have 5 days holidays for festival or whatever, then you just work for 15 days. Then, company every year give you 14 days leave!

So, You ONLY WORK FOR 1 DAY!!! Now you still want to apply 1 day leave???

ACCIDENT

I met an accident yesterday, while i'm on my way back from work. It was heavy rain when my back wheel skidded before I dragged several metres on the road. It's a self-accident. Thank God I'm still in the motocycle lane. My left leg hurt with severe wound, also both my arms. My whole body still in pain when I'm writing this post. Duh!

MALANG: Dr Azahari Husin is one of the three men killed in a shoot-out here in South Surabaya on Wednesday.

Indonesian police confirmed that fingerprints recovered from one body at the scene matched that in the records of Asia’s most wanted terrorist.

Something's wrong. This is what we call PHISHING. Instead of an Official RHB BANK website, i was directed to other website in order to steal my confidential information, such as bank account number, PIN etc.

I spent the whole day in the office today doing backups, before I formatted my corrupted PC. At last! Actually doing backups, formatting, installing are not in my job tasks, but since all the technical staff were busy that time.. my manager asked me to do those on my own. Yalah, I also prefer that.

As usual:

2. List all device drivers
3. Format hdisk
4. Install OS (XP)
5. Windows update
6. Setting network IP and network printers
7. Install antivirus
8. Install softwares (mostly freewares)
9. Done.

Now, I have a better operating system. Fuh!

These few weeks quite busy taking photos of new MP4 players, designing new look products brochure and fancy product packaging (my fren did) and also, updating our web content. Those MP4/MP3 players are all made in China, ~don't play-play. Of coz, dun compare those with Creative and iPod brands stuff ~lar, they are totally different in their class.

Actually, the sound quality is good, with the color screen.. can watch MTV playback and some more, they're cheap.

One of the MP4 players which is for me, OK.

Thank God! At last, 70% of my important documents and files recovered. I scanned my hardisk for 3 days 3 nights.. non-stop, without switching off my PC. Yah, at least.. 70%. Worth it. Erm, now can do business already.. :)

Just another sad story. I lost my 30GB worth of data (documents + photos + mp3s + freewares + invoices + website backup) from my Fujitsu external hardisk. I tried to recover and fix the partition table error using all kinds of traditional methods, softwares, freewares, yet.. no good news. :(

Pada suatu ketika di Jepun hiduplah seorang lelaki yang sederhana, namanya Oda. Ia memiliki seorang isteri yang sangat cantik dan sangat disayanginya.

Selain itu sang isteri tersebut juga suka mengumpat dan bercakap dengan kuat hingga boleh menyakitkan telinga. Jiran tetangga tidak mahu dekat dengannya. Sebenarnya, Oda sangat menyayangi isterinya itu, tapi para tetangganya yang merasa terganggu menghasut Oda supaya meninggalkan isterinya itu.

Akhirnya Oda pun termakan kata-kata tetangganya. Ia berfikir bagaimana cara untuk melenyapkan isterinya dari muka bumi.

Suatu hari Oda mengajak isterinya berjalan-jalan ke kuil tua di tengah hutan. Ketika melalui bahagian belakang kuil tersebut, Oda melihat sebuah perigi buta yang tak digunakan lagi. Maka ia berpura-pura mengajak isterinya melihat burung di pohon besar dekat perigi itu. Lantas dengan pantas Oda menolak isterinya itu masuk ke perigi.

Sepuluh minit pertama Oda merasa sangat bahagia kerana sepanjang hidupnya baru kali ini ia merasakan suasana yang begitu tenang tanpa celoteh isterinya.

Sepuluh minit kedua, Oda mulai merasa sepi juga karena tidak biasa dengan kesunyian.

Akhirnya sepuluh minit ketiga dengan rasa ragu-ragu Oda kembali menuju perigi buta tersebut. Ia menurunkan tali timba dan berteriak menyuruh isterinya naik.

Begitu terkejutnya Oda ketika yang naik bukan isterinya melainkan makhluk menyeramkan dengan bulu lebat di seluruh tubuhnya, dialah makhluk penunggu perigi buta itu.

Oda lantas bertanya, "Kenapa kamu yang naik??"

Lantas makhluk itu pun dengan wajah pucat ketakutan menjawab, "Aku takut la, di bawah tu ada manusia... dah la cakap kuat, cerewet pulak tu..."

Wo! Yesterday I went to PC FAIR after meeting my former schoolmate at KLCC. Yea, borak-borak dengan kawan lama memang tak pernah sah kalau tak tanya pasal life, career.. so on. Banyak la cerita.. to blog our topics yesterday, memang impossible. Too many. hehe

After doing survey on those 3 PDAs, i was tempted with this one (which is not in my list) :

Yea, I like the shape. Yalar, compared to O2 pda phones, Eten M500 is a bit bulky. It's quite user friendly.. I explore the fuctionality and I really satisfied with this PDA: PHONE, PDA, MEDIA PLAYER,CAMERA, VIDEO, GAMES, BLUETOOTH.. What else? The salesman offer me a SD Wifi, a RM 50 baucer and a 512 SD card for FREE! Wait, and also a free bluetooth handsfree set for me. These free gifts worth RM600. The whole set cost me RM2499. The O2 Mini also cost the same price, without free gifts. Cheap, arr? Erm.. If i buy now.. sure ikat perut. Next 2 months la... (pray, pray)!

Wooooyooo. I logged on to www.digi.com.my just now to set up my MMS feature since i can't neither send nor receive MMS. I thought digi has automatically configure that features for me. Now, everything's done. Pew!

Then, I viewed at my reload history and guess what? I've reloaded RM320.00(prepaid)for the month of MAY until JULY 2005! Thats mean.. I've spent an average of RM106.67 per month! Ayo! Shouldn't be.. shouldn't be!

Shouldn't be? Why? Probably because

1. I don't earn RM3000 per month (yet)

2. I got a lot bills to pay (Water, electricity, house phone, house rental, bike, hosting .. streamyx.. mummy )

3. I'm in love with O2 IIi PDA Phone. I'll get one for myself soon.

4. I will only receive 10% reload bonus from Digi IF ONLY I reload the maximum of RM350 within 4 quarters a year.. 10% is not enough! But thanx DiGi, anyway.

5. I've promised myself to limit my prepaid to RM50/month.. Oh! I broke that promise!

Anyway, no big deal. For the sake of my future financial plan, i have to blog 'bout this. It might alert me to spend wiser. Who knows.

Walaooo ... I didn't even know about the price of petrol and diesel would go up TODAY. This morning I drove my friend's car to KLIA, coz she's going back to MIRI. We moved around 5am (dizzy) and her flight should be around 7am. All the way, we had a non stop chit chat that I totally forgot bout my incomplete sweet dream last night.. geezz.

Can't remember how this topic started..

Friend: Wei, forgot to tell you, starting from today harga minyak naik 20 sen.
Me: Arr? Minyak naik lagi? serious?
Friend: Yalah.. ramai orang wo beratur malam tadi.. pi isi minyak.

Then I looked at her car fuel meter.. "FULL".

Me: Waaaaaa.... so ari ni minyak petrol RM1.72 per liter lar?
Friend: Entah.. tapi naik la.. 20 sen.

After sending her.. I went back home to change my clothes before I straight away rush for my office. I left her car at my house and I grap my scooter key.. It's almost 8am. I stopped at the nearby Shell station.. I knew that I'm not goin to refill fuel.. heheh! just to look at the petrol price per litre indicated on the pump .. aik? RM1.52? Did they forget to update the price.. uh? ah! who cares..

To my good friend Taiko, I know.. nobody's perfect. But no matter what, we are still friends! You are really A GOOD FRIEND, what i can say. Looking forward for a glass or two of Teh Tarik and Roti Nan + Ayam Tandoori at Restoran Hakim again.. Cheese!

Jokes : A letter to a son.

I received an email to day.. Haha.. this is what i call JOKE! Hahah.. enjoy!

A letter from a mother to her son.... read it with a pinch of salt... it's hilarious!!!

My dear Jagjit,

I am in a well here and hoping you are also in a well there. I'm writing this letter slowly, because I know you cannot read fast.

I won't be able to send the address as the last Sardar who stayed here took the house numbers with them for their new house so they would not have to change their address. Hopefully by next week we will be able to take our earlier address plate here, n that our address will remain same too.

This place is really nice. It even has a washing machine, situated right above the toilet I'm not sure it works too well. Last week I put in 3 shirts, pulled the chain and haven't seen them since.

The weather here isn't too bad. It rained only twice last week. The first time it rained for 3 days and second time for 4 days. The coat you wanted me to send you, your Aunt said it would be a little too heavy to send in the mail with all the metal buttons, so we cut them off and put them in the pocket.

Your father has another job. He has 500 men under him. He is cutting the grass at the cemetery. By the way I took Bahu to our club's poolside. The manager is Badmash. He told her that two piece swimming suit is not allowed in his club. We were confused as to which piece should we remove?

Your sister had a baby this morning. I haven't found out whether it is a girl or a boy, so I don't know whether you are an Aunt or Uncle.

Your uncle, Jetinder fell in the nearby well. Some men tried to pull him out, but he fought them off bravely and drowned. We cremated him and he burned for three days.

Your best friend, Balwinder, is no more. He died trying to fulfill his father's last wishes. His father had wished to be buried in the sea after he died. And your friend died while in the process of digging a grave for his father.

There isn't much more news this time. Nothing much has happened.
