MALANG: Dr Azahari Husin is one of the three men killed in a shoot-out here in South Surabaya on Wednesday.

Indonesian police confirmed that fingerprints recovered from one body at the scene matched that in the records of Asia’s most wanted terrorist.

“We have positive identification based on fingerprints provided by our Malaysian counterparts and also from Azahari’s dental and immigration records from the time he worked in Indonesia in 1998,” police chief General Sutanto said.

JAKARTA (AFP): Police said Thursday that master bombmaker and Islamic radical Azahari Husin was shot by police at his East Java hideaway and did not blow himself up as they earlier thought.
